Rosario, Argentina (April 26, 2022) — Fundación Internacional Bases launched today the platform Mala Educación (ME). As they define it, it is “a WikiLeaks for all of us to know what our children are being taught.”
“We are promoting a community of parents of primary and secondary school students in favor of educational transparency,” said Federico N. Fernández, president of Bases. And he continued: “Mala Educación allows us to denounce the ideological excesses that occur in the schools and colleges of our country.”
Schools are financed by parents, either through taxes or fees. The teachers and principals know that it is not a place for political activism. Still, they do it anyway because they believe no one is watching. “With the Mala Educación platform we want to put a magnifying glass on what happens in schools so that they return to being areas of education, not of indoctrination,” said from Bases.
In this sense, Tomás Leonardelli, who coordinates the project, explained that “although the cases are shared anonymously on the platform, they must always be accompanied by evidence such as screenshots, photos, videos or audios.” This ensures that the cases are real and not mere anecdotes.
The Mala Educación platform is a project developed by Fundación Internacional Bases, with the generous sponsorship of Friedrich Naumann Foundation Argentina, and in collaboration with the creators of “What are they learning?”
