Federico N. Fernández
President & CEO|
Federico N. Fernández is President & CEO of the Fundación Internacional Bases and of the Organizing Committee of the International Conference "The Austrian School of Economics in the 21st Century", which is held alternatively in Europe and Latin America. Federico is also Executive Director of Somos Innovación (the Latin American alliance for creativity and innovation) and CEO of We Are Innovation (Somos Innovación's sister organization for Europe).
Federico's work, both articles and campaigns, has appeared in The Economist (UK), El País (Spain), Yahoo Finance (USA), El Comercio (Peru), Folha de São Paulo (Brazil), Newsweek (USA), Asahi Shimbun (Japan) and La Nación (Argentina), among others.
Federico has lectured on three continents, is the author of academic articles and co-compiler of the books "Al maestro Dr. Alberto Benegas Lynch (h)" (2022), "Austrian economics 150 years after Carl Menger" (2021), "The indispensability of freedom" (2020), "An Austrian in Argentina: Essays in honor of Alberto Benegas Lynch (Jr)" (2015) and "The Austrian school of economics in the 21st century" (2007).

Previously, research and content assistant at Fundación Para el Progreso. Co-author of the book "Después del Socialismo, Libertad" (After Socialism, Freedom). He studied Law at Universidad Central de Venezuela.

Luis León Pardo is the Project Manager of Fundación Internacional Bases. Luis is an entrepreneur with experience in business development and venture capital. He is the CEO of Libertum and has worked in Web3, launch pads, DeFi real estate, and incubation projects. Luis is also an occasional speaker on topics related to new technologies and their impact on business and/or politics. He has an innovative vision and a focus on sustainable growth.

Marianela S. Mendoza is a Senior Research Fellow at the Fundación Internacional Bases. Marianela studied Law at the University of Buenos Aires (UBA). While still a student, she joined the Judiciary of the Province of Buenos Aires by competition until 2017, when she started her Law Firm specializing in tax and corporate matters. Likewise, he taught classes of Law of Obligations, and in 2021 she had his own television space in the cultural program "Estilos y Tendencias." She currently lives in Córdoba, where she also practices Law and teaches at the university.

Horacio Arana is Senior Research Fellow at the Fundación Internacional Bases. Horacio has a degree in Agricultural Economics (UB) and a Master's in Business Administration (IAE). Academic Secretary and Professor of Principles of Economics FCE-UAI. Researcher on the Austrian School of Economics topics, he has participated in international congresses and written articles on the specialty.

Alexander Gutiérrez is a Research Fellow at the Fundación Internacional Bases. Alexander is a Sustainable Mobility and Innovation Specialist. He has more than six years of experience in the government sector, specifically coordinating the development of public policies and technical research. Since 2019 Alexander has held the position of Parliamentary Advisor and Researcher in the National Assembly of Panama. Additionally, he is studying for a Master's Degree in Software Engineering and performs consultancies as a Digital Business Analyst.
He is a member of Fundación Libertad Panamá and an Alumni of the International Academy for Leadership (IAF) of the Friedrich Naumann Foundation for Freedom. ICT Finalist Americas 2021 and Youth Delegate of the VI Young Americas Forum of the Americas Business Trust (YABT) and the Organization of American States (OAS). He is currently exploring topics such as smart cities and smart mobility.

Sherley Almeida is a Research Fellow in Education Policy at the Fundación Internacional Bases. Sherley holds a B.A. in Political Science and International Relations from the Universidad de Los Hemisferios and a Master's in Public Policy from the Facultad Latinoamericana de Ciencias Sociales-FLACSO Ecuador. She is a specialist in educational policies emphasizing high school and higher education.
She is a former director of the children's theater group "La Máscara." She has eight years of experience in secondary teaching and three years as head of the Art Department. She has been the Ludoteca Flor y Canto volunteer coordinator at the Baca Ortiz Hospital since 2010. Teacher and workshop leader of public speaking and non-verbal communication tools, stage performance, and voice management. Logistic Coordinator of the Political Training Center-CEP of Fundación Libre Razón since 2021. Author of Handbook 3, "Politics in Process" of the Political Training Center of Fundación Libre Razón.

Iván Orellana is a Research Fellow at Fundación Internacional Bases. Iván holds a degree in Business Management from Universidad del CEMA in Buenos Aires, Argentina. He worked as a Business Analyst at Banco Galicia, where he worked until 2019 in the areas of Management Control and Continuous Improvement. At the end of that year, he moved to Spain to further her studies in Finance and completed the Master's in Portfolio Management at the AFI School of Finance in Madrid. He is preparing for his first exam at the CFA Institute, which has granted him a scholarship. Author of numerous articles on economics and finance.

Heidy E. Paredes is a Research Fellow at the Fundación Internacional Bases. Heidy is an Economist from the National University of San Antonio Abad del Cusco with a master's degree in conflict resolution and a postgraduate diploma in public management. She has worked on development projects at the management, planning, advisory, and technical assistance levels for international cooperation companies and the government. Co-founder of the Institute of Citizen Culture. She develops research on citizenship and social conflicts. She is currently a technical advisor on economic development for the German Development Cooperation.
